Clive Dutton

Speaker Bio:
Clive joined the City Council from JJ Gallagher in 2005, where he was Director of Regeneration. Prior this he has worked for four local authorities, including Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, where he was Head of Regeneration. Prior that he was Chief Executive of Tipton City Challenge and General Manager of the Black Country Development Corporation. In addition has worked for Government on the Urban Task Force, Urban White Paper and the Oldham Independent Review, following the civil disturbances in 2001 and in relation to regeneration aspects of the Good Friday Agreement in Northern Ireland. He has been Chairman of the Deputy Prime Minister’s Annual Sustainable Communities Award, and a non-executive director of the British Urban Regeneration Association. He was awarded the OBE in 1998 for services to urban regeneration.
Clive’s role is to help make Birmingham one of the world’s top 20 most liveable cities within the next twenty years.
