Speaker Bio:

Chris Gibbard has spent most of his career in the UK rail industry, largely in customer-facing roles. He was subsequently invited to advise the UK government on policy options in travel information.

Chris was a founder member of the traveline multi-modal information service. He has subsequently worked on the Government's more ambitious Transport Direct programme, firstly as Development Manager. In his current role as Data & Knowledge Manager, he looks after the portal’s data supply chain and Transport Direct’s interests in the wider travel information community, in particular with city & regional authorities and transport operators.
