Speaker Bio:
Hazem Galal is a Partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) UAE Advisory Practice with a focus on Governmental Institutions. He has over 22 years of experience. His areas of expertise are strategy formulation, infrastructure development and public sector reform. He led several multi-million dollar projects for both public and private sectors.
He has worked on several projects in the Middle East, United States, Latin America and South East Asia, which gives him an edge of expertise with the Public Sector in both developed and developing markets conditions. Hazem was recently nominated as PwC’s leader for the Global Cities and Local Government Network and is a member of PwC’s Global Government Leadership team. Prior to this, he was part of the core group which developed assessment tools to assist city managers in charting their path to become a “City of the Future”.
Prior to joining PwC he worked for the United Nations Development Programme and for several management consulting companies (McKinsey, Booz Allen and Andersen Consulting) in the areas of Government, Utilities, Telecommunications and Information Technology where he managed tens of complex projects.
Hazem is a dual USA/ Egypt citizen and fluently speaks English, Arabic and Portuguese. He can also communicate in Spanish.
